No... I didn't drink 6 red bulls. Why would you think that? I've got some sense in me you know... why is the room spinning?

red bulls good... peel my eyelids back they do. I'm very glad you two have become friends, the old friends overstayed their welcome.

oh it's from the lovely village i go to annually for my art retreats. it's in west cork, ireland, on the beara peninsula - this is in the far sw of of ireland.

the village is only a short walk from the art center and is very small, the population is only ~150 people. the nearest town is about 15 minutes drive and is also pretty small but has a grocer, hardware, etc.

it's incredibly remote and somehow, even though it's beautiful and along the coast, has managed to remain off the tourist route. which makes for wonderfully quiet and peaceful art-making, i can really focus which is nice as i don't have the luxury in my regular life. i leave in 19 days! can't wait as we are now having our 3rd day in a row of extreme heat warnings.

oh, i LOVE ireland....visited dublin about 7 years back and fell in DEEP love. this village you speak of sounds positively dreamy. i'm glad it's kept its charm. have yourself a great time and enjoy making oodles of art things!

yes me too. the first time i visited it was just someplace i wanted to go to, and i thought i'd like it but didn't think i'd fall in love with it.

it's great how much they support the arts too. you know their artists have to completely some paperwork annually but pretty easily get decent-sized artist stipends, for sure enuf to live on. they have to give the government a decent piece each year, well and the paperwork, but that's about it. also good for the government as they develop a beautiful collection of work. in addition to the stipend, they also pay a large fraction of rent for artist studios.

oh, yah!!! zah-zing!!!!

it packs a wallop. i haven't been drinking a lot of coffee over the past year, so this stuff jacks me like a kid on crank. i have to cut it with non-caffeinated stuff just so i don't bounce off the walls.

liquid joy.....you should market that.
oh wait, that's what you use to clean dishes.

but, it's so pretty and blue and makes bubbles....

you remind me of a story my boyfriend told me about his kid sister when they were young. she ran in the house one day and told their mom she just ate a marshmallow. 'hmmmm....marshmallow? where did you find a marshmallow in the yard?' their mom asked. my bf's sis then pointed toward a patch of grass with MUSHROOMS.

to the hospital they went, where her stomach was promptly pumped. eEK.
