OMG! i love the floppy disk.. at least, i think that's what it is??? I had this big mail art idea to find PINK floppy disks and mail them with a letter written in notepad saved to the disk and then just mail the disk as is with a stamp -- but i couldn't find pink disks anywhere then i thought with my luck I'd probably give everyone a virus or the post office would send the disks back :P hmmmmmm :P

how many in this bowling series? i'm lovin them :D

LOVE the pink disc idear! (and yes, you were right, that's what i put in this piece)
but, seriously, i wonder if you could just PAiNT the discs pink???? glow in the dark NEON pink. SUCH a creative spirit, you are..

and i'm just gonna do as many of these as i can. right now i've got 5 in the can, and will probably push out another 8-10? not sure yet. also depends if they sell like hotcakes at the next artwalk. or maybe i could try to sell them through my site. but, they come out so quick, it's almost worth doing them even if no one buys them. good exercise..it's kinda like doodling to me.

Damn, I need to quit drinking...
LOVE the pink disc idear!

The first three times I read this, I thought you were talking about a new Apple disc called the iDear... after looking (in vain) for information on this cool new product, I finally figured it out... yes, I really AM that slow! :) That being established, I love these ones!!! I especially like the way you showed the little one and then the big one... it's almost like you're zooming out but, even more, as if the piece itself was organically evolving (I suppose you'd have to make another, even bigger piece to complete that effect, though). Very cool, indeed! :)

oh, silly. gotta give gumby credit up there, he's actually a mathmatical, scientifical, metaphysical genius, of sorts. it's amazing he can cram ANY creative artistical thought into that brain of his. HAHA!
and who says you have to be young to have pink hair??? (actually, i think that icon is outdated, she now has purple hair?)
and you're JUST as clevah, believe me..

The bowler is bowling on a lane of japanese text. It got me thinking about what-if's of a text-filled lane!

part of me wants to know what the text says, and part of me doesn't. i'm afraid it's probably sales related, which doesn't exactly pertain to the subject. it's more of a visual implant for me..
do you dream of text? it's just such a big part of your life, i wonder about that.

Often when I am in that inbetween edge of sleep I think of text and sound wordplay, but dreams I rarely remember.

I just enjoy the visually possible challanges of text. It seems more of an area that hasn't been tapped like image-based art is. When words can trigger missed/barely perceptible everyday life events it creates quite a motivation to write.

I still think about how that example of your piece of paper with word connections on them was similar to what my textwalk notes on paper often look like!

Text is a way of seeing/triggering that a photo at times cannot accomplish.

take the skinheads bowling, take them bowling...
Oh...It was a line from the Camper Van Beethoven song, if I recall correctly.
Played that one in a band in college, way back in the stone ages, before cell phones and PDAs, etc.

Oh yeah, I checked that out.
Awesome!
I mostly use deviantArt to offer prints via their printshop service, myself.
