pixeled out..

images from the upcoming 2007 baby smith 'fat of the land' collage calendar

i've been a slave to my computer of late...mostly making website updates galore, and designing my upcoming 2007 wall calendars (sample thumbnails above and below) i'm excited because for the past 2 years i've been publishing, printing and mailing all my calendars myself, but this year decided to pass the buck to lulu.com. they'll be in charge of printing, payment transactions and distribution, which takes a HUGE load off me. plus, the quality will improve vastly, as i only had a measly ink jet printer for my last offerings. and the best part is, they'll only cost $17.95 (+shipping)!!!!!

Can't wait! Once my real paychecks start rolling in, I'll be able to do some real buying too. I decided that my bedroom is for all white art. Not necessarily pure white, but varying shades of white with accent colors. I've got a white 4x6 canvas in there now, plus a Felix Gonzales Torres print, and so I'm ready to commit to some other art. I've got a couple figure studies lined up, and then I'm thinking little paintings and collages.

oooo, i looooove the idea of white (or buttery cream) in the bedroom...sounds very condusive for sleeeeeeep. and it makes me think of john lennon's imagine video:

somehow, i don't think i could pull this look off though...our black pooch sheds like a BANSHEE! ;D

Oh, see, we have black kitty who also sheds all crazy like - the white is perfect because we can just throw everything in the wash on hot, with a little bleach if necessary. We're going to have some color - the walls will be "emporor" a 'Butterfield 8'-esque blue from Ralph Lauren, and the floor is going to be deep chocolate brown. White trim, white art, cherry bed, voila.
