life is but a dream..

i had another dream last night that keeps repeating itself..

i live in a home..a historic building with many stories to tell. and after many years residing there, i come to discover rooms i never knew existed. whole wings, even. and they're usually vast spaces...like a giant bathroom with nothing more than a claw foot tub and a glass ceiling that reveals an outdoor terrace above. and the warmth of the materials and hues in these rooms draws me in, almost as if i'm in a dream within a dream.

and when i awake, i find myself trying to drift off again so i can pick up where the last scene ended.

I have read (and this occurred to me as soon as I read the first line of your dream) that some believe dreams about houses/buildings to be representative of the self, the different rooms indicating different aspects of the personality/mind. You describe the house as you might describe a person, having many stories to tell, the discovery of new and previously unknown parts of yourself, warmth and revealing new openings(glass ceiling). Because you are able to look outside yourself, or this house, along with the exploring new places within yourself, you are also discovering new ways to see the world. How revealing that the only object you mention is an implement of cleansing oneself, as well!
There's my armchair analysis, even though you didn't ask for it!

I should make a business of this! I interpret people's dreams all the time, well, I shouldn't say all the time. I don't do it often because it freaks people out. But I just couldn't resist yours!
I do it to my dad very accurately, he says he has to be careful not to tell me about his dreams, haha!
I hope it's helpful.

and I accept art as payment ;)

I was thinking along the same lines, and it makes sense. You have been very introspective of late. Are these room the part of you you are finding-exploring-expanding---can't find the right word but I'm sure you get the idea. Love you and really miss you. I have thought about you alot lately. pammy

....and then the zombies crash through the walls.

Just kidding.

That is a cool dream. Perhaps it means you're going to reveal something to yourself.

The house is you. You're discovering new rooms, new parts of you. Look at the dream from that viewpoint, and what do you see?

well put, dr. m.
this couch is awfully comfy..how much time we got left? ;D

actually, i find dream analysis really fascinating..the mind never stops, even though the body needs recharging..

thanks for your input!
