'shift no. 1' (pulp series)
found objects on board
2007

seems fitting to unveil the dawn of a new series on the last day of my solo show with chambers..

i sense this new body of work will only expound on the last, focusing more on the process of manipulating found objects (mostly paper), and using seismic shifts to inspire the compositions. naming it the pulp series seemed logical, as i'm taking disparate mush from urban life and forming it into other matter. so, these pieces, although intended to last a long time, will eventually decay and transform into other things, either by natural or manmade means.

so beautiful.

with some fruit, the pulp is what you keep & with others it's what you throw away. very evocative.

Did you ever make your own paper as to the Eunice Parsons recipe? I ask because it is a mush or pulp of sorts.
