'shift no. 6' (pulp series)
found objects on board
i was recently accepted into a group show with altered aesthetics in minneapolis...i wish i could be at the opening, as this offering will be a feast for the eyes, i'm sure. non-local group shows are few and far between for me these days, as they usually involve entry fees, shipping, etc. but, this one sounded right up my alley.
i also think i might mount this recent piece (above) and submit it to cactus gallery's latest call for entries. this gallery's a happenin' joint, right in the middle of eagle rock, ca. (one of my favorite towns EVER) every time chuck and i've either been there or driven by on opening night, it looks like a frickin' frat party, minus the hazing. not that THAT qualifies a decent gallery, but at least it draws some traffic..
at any rate, i'm jazzed 'junk art' is getting some press....'bout bloody time.
