just passing the time..

i've had a rough couple of days health wise....i'm hoping to bounce back fully for tomorrow night's events : a 3 person show at the source on lake (in pasadena), and a group show at the i-5 (downtown). sure hope i can muster enough energy to act halfway normal.

all i gotta say is.....red stuff should NEVER come out of your pee pee. EVER. i've only had 4 or 5 urinary tract infections in my life, but this one took first place prize for pain. after each 'session' i checked the toilet believing i surely passed some sort of object : kidney stone, baby, basketball...

i'm not a fan of antibiotics, but all i could think was, 'gee, i'm so relieved i'm not a cave woman who has to suffer and possibly croak because of a little bacterial infection.'

i knew i was clearly out of my head the other day when the doc offered me pain pills and i declined. WHAT WAS i THiNKiNG?!!!

that sounds like hell on earth, with an extra dollop of hell on top!!!!!! you POOR thing...were you bleeding? and how long did it take till you started feeling better? my current AB's are only barely making me feel better, which kinda scares me after 3 days..

thank goddess my situation happened mid week, as i don't have a primary care doc just yet and my gyno couldn't prescribe over the phone or schedule me in....

I woke up that Sunday morning with pink pee and burning, I had never had a urinary tract infection before, so I didn't know what it was, but I knew it wasn't good. The antibiotics must have been strong, because things were much better within 24 hours.
If you don't see improvement soon, I'd call whoever you saw and let them know. I was amazed how quickly mine went downhill. I got a bit worried when I started getting a fever.
I hope you feel better soon!

Double shot of Pink Burning Pee with frou-frou drink umbrella anyone? :o)

Hope you feel better soon, Dr. B! :)

Re: Hmmm...
That would be a good name for a martini with a few drops of tabasco sauce in it!
