eva lake's latest interview with nancy baker was nothing short of riveting. i now have it on my 'to do' list to back read nancy's blog. she's a regular contributor to the anonymous female artist blog, which i read, but not so religiously anymore. frankly, sometimes i just don't have it in me to digest the venomous banter over there. i understand they're raising awareness....and i'm all for that. believe me, if i owned a bra i would BURN iT! but, sadly, i'm only an A & a half cup, at best. SERiOUSLY, my dog has bigger AND more boobies than me *sigh* buuuuuuuut, i digress.....sometimes though, i think i need a breather from all the bitchy/bastard online madness. (imagine me in a fetal position rocking on the floor whilst holding my hands over my ears and singing 'la la la la la!' this, of course, would be followed by a quick chant of my own personal mantra......'find your happy place, find your happy place, find your happy place....')
anyhoo......my favorite quote from this week's show (as eva and nancy recounted their time in N.Y.C.) :
eva: "towards the last 5 years of my time in N.Y. i spent a lot of time with dead artists....i went to the met....because they couldn't hurt me."
