gettin' the gooshies

inspired by coagula..
my 'boyband' is making me misty..
he's on the phone, talking to his dad, trying to convince him to throw a party for all the docs and nurses who've helped his mom get well over the last 3 months. big break through this week..she walked across her hospital room, ate by herself, and is acting more and more like 'kit.'

you go girl!

This is GREAT news! And many brownie points to Chuck. Not many people do that. It is nice to see the profession recognized.

Re: pammy
we are SO happy for kit..
boy, pam. it just looks like she could hop right out of bed. the catheter's out, which we think caused a lot of the infection probs. everything's looking really really good.

and chuck and his dad practically LiVE at that hospital. they know everyone by their first name and truly appreciate all that's being done for her. i think the staff really like kit, too. cuz, she refuses to give up..and she's one of their success stories (just like you were talking about)

speaking of moms and health, i'm wondering about mom getting an mri on monday. she's really stressing. hope this back pain is an easy fix without surgery..just call me pollyanna.

Re: pammy
I am very worried about this. I hope that her back isn't worse and I am glad they are lookinf into it finally. I wish I was there to listen to what they have to say. I don't think she always tells us everything. I am mad they did a nerve block. That is what our docs sometimes suggest if they think the person is crying wolf. I wish she could see the docs up here. Only cause I might know them and I don't know hers. I'm not saying they don't know what they are doing, I just don't know their reps. Also, the MRI is a very good thing.

Re: pammy
i can understand your frustration, being a nurse and all. you want to be near so you can have some kind of say or control over the situation, no? and mom is so scared, i'm afraid she'll stress herself out and make it worse. oi.
let's hope for the best, though..
lemme know if you find out any info on the MRI, k? i'm not sure how long the technicians take to analyze.
