audio art form

for a ride you won't want to end..take a sip....go on... it won't hurt you. you'll feel better... i promise.

the above brought to you by recrea33's group recreational research foundation..an elixir for the soul.
culture driven sultry sound cocktails. nudge recrea33 if you're interested in buying any and all of these dreamy creations. i did.

and another must hear..
a taste of public works, formerly known as the tape-beatles

go on..take a nibble

pop culture industrial zen. prepare to be blown inward, outward and far away..these audio artworks are surprisingly current, some dating back to the late 80's. a timeless tapestry of iconic sound bites from everyday life..sure to tickle your ear-buds. and these guys grew up in my hometown (iowa city, iowa)..beam.

for the complete numbers album download by public works
and more public works/tape-beatles selections to browse and buy

my work here is done.
and now back to your regularly scheduled program..

yeah, a bit of a sensory overload there..
glad you liked!

sorry we missed you yesterday..saw your art (not surprised it had many architectural references!), but you were away. must've been schmoozing with customers ;D looks like a pretty groovy place to create..

Thank you so much- too bad I missed you. I knew the second I stepped out to see the other studios, people would show up. Murphy's law.

i think it's in its first year, so a few kinks might happen the first go around.
lemme know what you think if you go or participate.
i thought the entry fee seemed a bit steep ($100.) depending on how much you sell, foot traffic and the amount of connections you make..might be worth it after all.

Re: public works
YEAH!
it's cuh-razy, i'm tellin' ya. you've re-inspired ME to get back into this whole audio art form..i'm learning more and more about them too..like about their 'zine photostatic/retrofuturism' to their video installations..

they're based in prague, of all places now. you have a better shot at seeing them live. go figure. i'm gonna write you proper tonight, email style. i'm SO JAZZED you got my book!
