posting postals

been going a little nuts in the studio of late. like 'not bothering to change out of my morning sweats' nuts. hey, who has the time for daily hygiene when inspiration strikes? i figure chuck'll call the authorities once i start wearing kleenex boxes for slippers. until then, i'm on a roll..

greeting no. 35 (post dramatic address syndrome series)
mixed media & found new york objects on postcard

Wow, that's strangely captivating!
That little pic of the sandaled foot on the dashboard (I think!) is just entrancing for some reason... very cool, indeed! Hey, it's okay to compromise hygiene as long as you're making cool art like that! :o)

beam..too kind, toooooooo kind.

I often like to puzzle at these collages. I see the foot and the text of ING. footing or towing or...

the background as a page that shows a sliver of text...a card patternside up which really spotlights something like that which is usually overlooked.

The image of your workarea gives flashbacks of when I used to do mailart. Bits and pieces all over. My workarea is still somewhat like that, as it is textmounds and bookmounds and newspaper scrapmounds that I need to sift through for words.

very observant, you are..
i, too, like the little nibbles of words. i'd tell you what was attached to the 'ing,' but i think your visual/text connection is much more interesting.
and the hidden text (faintly bleeding through the paper reads, 'are you ready for your dream vacation?' one of those happy accidents, as i didn't know how much, if anything, would reveal through the paper. i'm quite enjoying dismantling an entire book i found on a rather public and congested sidewalk in new york city-thomas wolfe's 'the web and the rock.' (very tom phillips of me, eh?)

and yeah, my work space looks like a tornado hit it, but strangely, i know where everything is.
