i would love to participate in "People Purse On" , but there are no photo booths in this area that i can find... (Detroit Metro)
you mentioned that old photo strips were ok. i do have one taken with my husband and 2 kids two years ago... i don't really want to part with it though. am i right in the understanding that you are returning them?

yes yes. i'll return them..i'm taking photocopies of the originals and using those in the actual artworks.
just leave your return address (very clearly written) on the back, along with your name and email. i'll look forward to your entry..

lemme know if you have any more questions, k?

one more side note..
you might check any local bars in the area and see if they have photobooths. just a thought..and if any fairs have started in your area, that might be a another possibility. thanks for your interest!

I'll go to the mall and see if they still have a photobooth, and what kind it is. I'll also hunt for the cassette recorder I mentioned before. I THINK I know where it is...hopefully. I'll let you know the results, good or bad, by saturday. Happy pursing!

oh silly, don't you worry.

you've been selling cars and everything else under the sun..BUSY isn't the word!!!!
and i've seriously been thinking a lot about you and your stumbling blocks with this project. if you would be willing to take a very very simple portrait picture of yourself (trying to match the scale of a photobooth image) with a make-shift curtain back drop, i would accept this. do you have access to a real camera? (meaning not digital) you probably sold it the other day if you did. hmm. i'm just wondering how you could get a photo to me. the audio part you could just voicemail in. maybe a passport place? that would be a simple photo at the right scale.

thank you SO much for even taking time out of your busy schedule for this.

and if you're interested in seeing pictures of artists working, you can try to catch me working live in my studio by going here:

I really dont use a real camera much anymore, I got too sick from the chemicals about 8 years ago. All of us at this photo studio had to switch to digital, even digital passport photos we did. Are you making photo copies of the images, I can size digital pictures to size and look.
Sorry I can mess with the camera too much I just cant be around the the chemicla anymore I puke too much. I voicemail sounds great, who knows maybe just using a draw portrait. I thought it was neat seeing Robert Rauschenberg studio he went to transfer print making with water I thought that was so cool to see the use of no chemicals in screen print, Jasper Johnes a super clean studio looks like me, no mess anywhere, the same like Joesph Albers never spilling paint. I wanted to cry when I went to the Great Jones Loft and one person spraypainted SAMO by the door. Any reason you have a website for your studio. I think the place a artist works tells so much about them. Robert talked about the difference between him and Jasper and thought it was funny they lived together at one point.

oh my!!!
i totally forgot you're in florida..
you've SEEEEEEEEEN robert rauschenberg's studio?? what a treat that must have been. i saw him speak at his retrospective in houston a few years back and was quite captivated by the man. such an icon..

i will accept a digital photograph(s), as long as you can print it off and send it to me (my ink jet just doesn't cut it, quality wise) scale the photos to aprox. 2"x1.5" and i'll send you the voicemail info.
send photos to:

p.o. box 8244
la crescenta, CA 91224

and i'm afraid you might have a fit in my studio..it gets a tad messy with all the found crap i collect..but, low on the chemicals, i'm happy to report. ;D

i started the webcam part of my site about 6.5 years ago, when i realized it was something
*i* would want to see on the internet. an artist's space is so telling, like you said, and the internet was just the right portal to share it with the world. it slowly evolved into sharing my thoughts (through my journal) and exposing and selling my work (through my gallery pages) so, there you have it, in a nutshell.
