k. i've come to the realization that i'm destined to excess. after eliminating coffee from my diet for more than 2 years (thinking IT was the poison that made me feel like shit on a daily basis) i took the risk and re-introduced this intoxicating muddy liquid just a few days ago, only to find out it's not the culprit of my discomfort. on the contrary, i'm delighting in its mind numbing qualities to heights that i never anticipated before my culinary intolerances. in fact, i'm dreaming-no wait, FANTASIZING of using chuck's espresso machine, in hopes of attaining an all time caffeinated high..

and i shudder to recall a 1987 college party, where kristina and dan offered me heroine for the very first time. i thought about it long and hard, and decided to fill up on the keg beer instead. lesser of 2 evils..that's what i keep telling myself.

Yes, coffee = great. I used to be more able to get away with not drinking it when I had a more open schedule - i.e. when I was in school - because I tend to start nodding off everyday around 4pm. Now that I have to be awake at that time I just drink some coffee. I like how jittery it can make me.

It's also good at other times during the day....except, in my opinion, in the morning. It doesn't do jack for me in the morning. I don't have the scientific data on me, but the primary purpose of sleep is to revitalize both mind and body, and I don't think any artificial enhancement is necessary in the morning if one has gotten sleep. Sometimes it takes a little effort to actuate it, but one's brain is working at top-notch in the morning. But before I had convinced myself of this, I would actually try coffee in the mornings and it wouldn't do a damn thing - go figure.

ooo the jittereez. nothing beats a good coffee jack after a 2 year hiatus. my body was so flushed of the stuff it only took a weak 1/2 cup to spazz me up. and i think i peed enough non essential liquids to float a small yacht. now i have to figure how much alcohol to ingest in the evening to reverse my daily caffeine intake. come to think of it, this might qualify for research grants..
