Re: awesome
oooOOH..
are you sure you're not just in a finals week fog, my dear?
that is SOOOOO kind of you to even consider flagrantly misusing your fellowship dollars on my little art thing. i mean, think of all the YES! you could buy with that money. but, then again, i s'pose you could convince mr. and mrs. fellowship your baby smith artwork was solely purchased in the interest of research. yeeeeeeeeeeah.

email me, and we'll too-walk.

You pick them up .. and the guards pick you up,

Oooh, I LOVE this box! I hadn't visited in a few days, and I love everything you've done since my last visit. I like the icon you made from the box also.
So what is the sediment series all about?

thanks burton!

yes..the sediment series has been rolling around in my head for quite some time now..
it's a relief for me to finally be fleshing it out.

sediment: can be defined as 'matter that settles on a bottom or collects on a surface by a natural process'..or 'residue from reaction.'

each piece will be called a 'piling.'
piling: can be defined as 'a structure composed of piles' or 'a column of wood or steel or concrete that is driven into the ground to provide support for a structure.'

these pieces are composed of layers of ephemera and found objects (sediment) naturally placed by me (reaction), in order to form order out of chaos, a foundation of natural elements that help hold the assemblage together both aesthetically and structurally (piling).
