trains, planes and automobiles

chuck left today for chicago. i always hate that first day when he's away. the house is way too quiet. plus, i'm kicking myself cuz i forgot to put love notes in his baggage this time.

dreamed i was crossing some train tracks while talking with chuck on my cell. as i narrowly beat an oncoming train, i thought to myself, 'wow, that was close!' then i looked behind me in an instant and saw the train had switched to the track i was now standing on. game over.

i woke up, and said out loud, 'dead.'

it occurred to me that dreams are so complex. one part of my mind had invented the elaborate drama sequence, while another part was completely oblivious to the impending doom.

You should mail a love note to his hotel room! :)

That lucky butt travels more in a month than I have in my life, I think!

I just like trips anywhere...
I have been to Chicago once, but only because South Bend doesn't have an airport so we had to land there and take some Limo bus to Indiana. I just remember there being some good pizza places! :)

And on the way out of the airport, I opened the door in shock because it was FREEEEEZING!

oh my, the pizza's divine. orgasmic even.

oh geez, and you're right, it does get awfully chilly there, bein' the windy city, and all. but, it's all relative. after living in the midwest almost my entire life, and now living here for only 3 years, i go into hypothermic shock when it gets below 60º!!!!

Yeah something about the way that wind feels when it smacks you in the face... especially being used to how it is here, it was like jumping into really cold water! Like when you're all in shock and it knocks the wind out of you. ha ha

Jungian interpretation of that dream is that you cannot avoid artistic inspiration, even when you try.
